Perfect Lazy Day Outfits

Sometimes the struggle is real, and for most women especially, the struggle is real almost every day. For the women who aren’t necessarily working a 9-5 within the confines of a cubicle in corporate America, a workday at home is just perfect for a lazy day of laying in bed and even better, wearing the best lazy day outfits. 

As they say in Who What Wear’s article encompassing comfy outfits for lazy days "There are some days when you're happy to spend 10 minutes staring at your wardrobe and others when you want an outfit that's ready to go in less than three minutes." In my case, these three minutes days are very often. Even dough I prefer to snooze my alarm, I still like to wear some of my cute outfits on a lazy day, it just makes you feel better!

The Yogi 

This particular ensemble is not just one of the average workout outfits for a lazy day, it’s essentially a feel-good yoga pant and shirt set that’s perfect for a lazy day in the house or a day off work. Quite often you’ll see women dressed in this manner if they’re headed to the gym or to a yoga studio. 

Nonetheless, not only is this cute for your “ Today I don’t feel like doing anything” (Bruno Mars reference*) kind of day but it’s super comfortable and can be whatever you need it to be without worry out about levels or pressure. If you’re drawn to this particular look you’re either a woman on the go or trying to be this. 

Sporty But Poppin

This outfit is fire and I absolutely adore it! The influencer did a phenomenal job with contrasting the colors of the bottom and top garments. We’re fawning over how well the colors are coordinated and the detail in the red track pant. Because we’re expecting a lazy day, we want it to be as chill and laid back as possible thus we’ll have to ban heels and welcome slippers and footies in place of them. 

The type of woman that rocks an ensemble such as this is one who cares deeply about quality and design and is also pro-sustainability. She’s on the board of several organizations and frequently organizes events that cater to womanhood and sisterhood. For a similar look try opting for vibrant colored sweatpants with drawstrings to ensure that not only are you popping, but you’re also in comfy outfits that aren’t falling off of you every few seconds.

This particular ensemble is such a cozy and cute lazy day outfit. I am a super fan of the tuxedo stripe on the seam of the sweatpants and how well the jacket and shoes coordinate colorwise. Although this particular outfit appears as though it was created to be seen and to ultimately, not be lazy, the look is perfect for being a go-to for quick trips to the store amongst your roommates and even in terms of running errands all day. 

This look was made for the woman who’s typically on the go and doesn’t have much time to spend primping and prepping for the day. She’s the type of girl who does what she can, gets what she needs and asks for nothing more. Maybe she’ll wear hoop earrings, maybe she won’t. Nonetheless, she always gets done what needs to be finished and this look is the look for her.

This particular ensemble is one of my favorites so far, not only is it one of the best lazy day outfits but it’s also super chic urban and in style. This sort of look can oftentimes be seen on artists like HER, Teyana Taylor and Ryan Destiny. 

Additionally, The influencer’s shoes were completely on point and we stand her aesthetic. This look is for the girl that doesn’t really enjoy working out but rather staying in shape for whatever the purpose may be. 

I also admire how well the clothing is paired with the Gucci belt sandals. I recommend keeping minimal jewelry on your neck due to how much of a statement look the shirt is by its lonesome. Instead, similar to the woman in the picture, bring more jewelry to your hands and feet. This is made for the gal who takes the day off to grab lunch with her friend who works remotely. 

Upon Reading Marie Claire’s coverage of finding the best lazy day outfits in the USA one could presume that Marie Claire’s stance on what a Lazy day is even considered and moreover what lazy day clothing even looks like. According to the voice on all things beauty and fashion lazy day outfits were simply outfits that are fairly easy to put on and also don’t require as much effort to pull together. 

My definition is very similar except that I take into account a particular aesthetic given off as well, otherwise known as “ Dressing Chill”, this equates to extravagant pieces, over the top designers and wearing designer as well. According to millennials and members of Gen Z, doing too much in the way you dress can create a hard path towards likability and will often be seen lame or just not cool.
